Shocking Tales #2

Shocking Tales of Madness and Mayhem, Issue No. 2 will be heading to the printer in May, along with a re-print of Shocking Tales #1.  We’re now accepting pre-orders for both products, along with new rulebook bundles.

First, a bit about Shocking Tales #2.  We’re very proud of this one, and feel it’s absolutely our best work yet.  As expected, new Lurkers and gear await within the 40 full-colour pages.  What’s particularly exciting though is our first Black Dossier setting, “Time’s Forgotten Land”, which will send your Threshold agents into hostile territory to challenge a series of new scenarios and do battle with beasts and beings previously thought to be long extinct.  Who knows what horrors await you in the darkest corners of the earth?

Two new bundles are now available.  First, the Expanding Chaos bundle packs together both issues of Shocking Tales, coupled with a miniature pack of your choice, and currently priced at $45.95.  For those who want it all, we have the sequel to the classic Seduction of Innocence bundle.  The Ultimate Seduction includes the Strange Aeons core rulebook, both issues of Shocking Tales, and one figure pack of your choice for $69.95.

Ghostly Green!

Now, on to the promotional goodness! As Shocking Tales #1 offered up a free Suicide Cultist (and still does, we should note), Shocking Tales #2 will include a Banshee model.  We have a limited number of these cast in clear “ghostly green” resin.  Once these run out, this will switch to normal white, so get yours while they’re available!  You can do all kinds of clever things with clear resin.  At the Uncle Mike’s Lab, we built a green led into a scenic base and mounted the Banshee above, generating the gloriously creepy effect you see here.

In addition to the Banshee, pre-orders placed for Shocking Tales #2 (whether alone or in a bundle) will receive a free clear green Ghost of Zombie Lovecraft figure.  You never actually thought something as pedestrian as the grave could stop old HP, did you?  Supplies are limited, so get your pre-order in!

But that’s not all!  Madmen that we are (and thoroughly obsessed with the novelty of “ghostly green”), we’ve also cast up a batch of Ghosts for your amusement.  While supplies last, all orders placed through our online store will receive one random clear green ghost – the three candidates are pictured below, milling about with their green compatriots Zombie Lovecraft and the Banshee.  Happy Haunting!

Well, here’s the scenario contest winner, at least.  You’ll have to wait until the book is released later this year to read the actual scenario.  Our winner is Rudi Nielsen, who entered a fast and fun little number entitled “The Hermit”.  We received a number of strong entries, some of which will be distilled into new game mechanics for future releases.  Thanks to everyone that submitted a scenario!

Fishmen II

If there’s one key lesson we’ve learned in nigh-on two years of peddling tiny eldritch horrors, its that everybody loves Fishmen!  We’d therefore be remiss to not offer you more choices at the seafood buffet of terror.  Fishmen II is April’s brand new miniature release, now available at our online store.
